Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 24 October 2026
nusletter.dev exists to help people send email their readers actually want. Everyone on our platform shares sending reputation, so we take this policy seriously. Breaking it can lead to immediate suspension.
Permission is required
- Only send to people who have clearly agreed to receive email from you. We strongly recommend double opt in, and our prompts set it up by default.
- Do not use purchased, rented, shared, scraped or harvested lists.
- Do not send cold outreach or unsolicited bulk email.
- If you import a list, you must be able to show how and when each person opted in.
Every marketing email must
- Include a clear, working unsubscribe link (we add one automatically to newsletter sends)
- Honour unsubscribe requests straight away and never email that person again for that list
- Clearly identify who it is from, with honest From names and subject lines
- Include a valid physical postal address where the law requires it
Prohibited content
- Phishing, spoofing, malware or anything designed to deceive
- Illegal products or services, or content that breaks any law
- Adult content, gambling, or "get rich quick" and pyramid schemes
- Hate speech, harassment or threats
- Content that infringes someone else's intellectual property
Sending health limits
We monitor every account. If your bounce rate goes above 4% or your complaint rate goes above 0.08%, sending may be paused automatically while we review it with you. Hard bounces, complaints and unsubscribes are added to your suppression list and cannot be emailed again.
Reporting abuse
If you received unwanted email sent through nusletter.dev, please forward it with full headers to abuse@nusletter.dev. We review every report within one business day and act on it.
